City of the Falls to Ireenu

The journey from the City of the Falls to the Hin town of Ireenu is a long stretch. You will travel into some of the colder areas of the Kingdom, so bring a warm cloak. Start your trip by heading north from the city. Follow the road for a while and eventually it will turn west. You will then come to an intersection. It is on this part of the trip that you should be on your guard. Wild animals and cockatrices have been known to attack in this vicinity.

At the intersection take the south road, cross the bridge, and continue to follow the road as it turns west, with jogs to both the north and the south. As you travel west the terrain will become more hilly, and eventually you will reach the snowy base of the Lower Divide Mountains around Frosthills Lake. Follow the road west and then south as it travels around the lake.

When you reach the intersection at the south-east corner of the lake, continue south, do not take the road west. As you travel south you will leave the snow behind and enter an hilly area. Continue to follow the road south and downhill, ignoring any side roads. Eventually you will enter a wooded area and the road will have stopped. You have entered the Painted Forest. Continue in a southerly direction and you will eventually find the road.

Turn to the west and follow the road as it continues north and west. You will soon leave the forest and enter the the vicinity of Lake Odinea where there are several waterfalls. Be careful here as giant flying insects make their home in the area. Follow the road as it bends north-west. When the road turns to the south and you cross a river, you are now on the outskirts of Ireenu. There seems to be a problem in the adjacent graveyard, as it has been reported that the dead have been awakening and bothering the locals here. Continue west from the outskirts and you will enter the town centre.
