Welcome to Darian o'Dell, the capital of the Kingdom of Kil'dar. At the city's centre is the Great Oak, a green space where people like to meet. Those with a taste for "sport", either as a competitor or spectator, can visit the Arena where combatants like to test their skill against one another.
Most of the King's Castle is off-limits to the public, but the library is open for those that wish to browse.
If you need a place to stay the night, or want to book passage on a boat to another part of the Kingdom, head down to the docks. You'll find food and accomdations at the Darian o'Dell Inn, and there are several boats that will take on passengers.
The Temple of Light provides a place for the followers of Jar'dior to worship and the clerics there will help anyone with healing supplies, potions, and scrolls, for a donation to the church.
For those of you with money burning a hole in your pocket, there are many shops that offer goods and services:
The Bank and Trust is a good place to store your valuables. You can also purchase magical "Coins of Recall". These are handy items that can be used to quickly return to Darian o'Dell if you find yourself far away.
Maud's Dye Shop offers many dyes for those that like to spruce up the look of their clothing and armour.
The Armoury Emporium has almost everything a budding adventurer needs; robes, cloaks, armour, helms, shields and melee weapons.
For ranged weapons and ammunition, check out The Broken Arrow.
Back to Basics has an abundance of crafting supplies.
In the Bag is a shop that specializes in bags and containers to help you store your precious items.
Darian o'Dell Jewelery has a fine assortment of fine gems and jewelery.
For a good set of boots that will stand up to a lot of travel, go to the Cobbler's Shop.
For everything else, see Pragor at the Pawn Shop. His inventory varies from day to day, so visit often and you might find that special item you've been looking for.
Note:The in-game map for the Arena is incorrectly aligned with the adjoining area. The Arena has been rotated in this map to correct that.
